In all, the Science and Arts Exhibition at Sarat Sadan was a remarkable event that combined knowledge with creativity, proving once again that Indian Public School is committed to nurturing innovation, culture, and excellence in education.

The exhibition has been unique and phenomenal in providing a common platform for innovation of several working models made by students from classes I -XII representing Science & Technology, Social Sciences, Arts & Fine Arts. It is important to note that the students reminded the audience that innovation does not necessarily starts from Science only; but, it can initiate from any branch or discipline of Knowledge and wisdom. It is important for us to be multidisciplinary in our notion and develop our mental faculties to work across various disciplines combined together for a better and sustainable future for humanity. The program was supported by Howrah Suparna and RDS under the aegis of the United Religions Initiatives (URI).

Kalagachia Kailash Kamini High School (HS) organized a Tourist Guide Workshop for the students of Classes X, XI, and XII. The session was conducted by Dr. Saikat Kumar Basu, who served as the mentor for the program. While Dr. Basu represented the duo organizations, discussed various important aspects of the profession, including why one should become a tourist guide and how to pursue it as a career. He also explained the various responsibilities of a tourist guide, emphasizing that these begin at the school level by creating awareness about cleanliness—linking it to the concept of eco-tourism.

The workshop concluded with an interactive session, where students were presented with information about various tourist spots and took part in mock tourist guide activities. This hands-on approach made the session engaging and productive, allowing students to practically apply the concepts they had learned. Dr. Basu’s mentorship left a positive and inspiring impact on the participants, encouraging them to consider tourist guiding as a potential career path.

The school expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the President and members of the School Managing Committee, as well as to the teachers who actively participated in the workshop. Their support and enthusiasm contributed greatly to the success of the program, ensuring that students were enriched with knowledge, skills, and motivation to explore opportunities in the field of tourism.
